Thanks. Sold it about a couple years ago. No, I did not do the chop, wish I knew who did. Coupes are tough to get looking right. The chop was done years before I bought it back in 2005 with a gas welder.

 

This was the was the tire/wheel combo I always wanted on my coupe. It just took me about 20 years to finally pull the trigger and do it! Only other style i considered was raiders/whitewalls/cheater slicks. Maybe in another 20 years I'll do that!

 

To me there is no better wheel. . .

 

Loving this thread. After a lot of deliberation as to which wheel for my 39 Chev Coupe project I ordered a set of U.S. Wheels chromies. 15 x 7 and 15 x 6. Several months later, they finally arrived this week. (Shipping delays not supplier delays). Haven't mounted tyres yet but am very happy with them.
