how would a 48-52 ford pickup cab look with a 32 grille and dropped to the ground? ive been wanting to build a pickup like that for quite a while now, and have a chance to pick up 50 ford cab/doors for $300. i know most pre-46 cabs look great but im unsure about a 50. any thoughts? anybody seen one done up like that?

There may be a bunch of people who disagree, but I think trucks after about 1940 look stupid without fenders.

i also say ugly, but if youve herd some of my ideas id go ugly. but i wouldnt waste a 32 schell i'd take first foot of 2 50 hoods and clamschell 'em together trun 'em on end and have an ugly track nose to go with the ugly cab.

I have a 40 ford truck cab with doors I would sell for 450.00 Or trade. Don't bother with any thing that new they are to wide to pull off with a 32 grill. let me know if your interested. Scott 916-338-4327 Blue Collar Customs

if you narrowed the cab and sectioned the body and lowered the roof it could be pulled off...the cab is too bulky to go fenderless without looking out of proportion, hence why they came with those huge bubble fenders to begin with...it could be done, but you'd almost be better off finding an older pickup...unless of course you like a huge challenge, then I say take it...

Anyone see the issue of Rolls & Pleets with a truck just like he's describing in it. It has the little red Bantum pickup on the cover. Looks pretty cool to me.

Here's one I saw at Macungie, PA last fall.

This F1 has been sliced and diced six-ways-from-Sunday, and roadsterized.
I don't know who the owner is, but he did a clever job of it.

The truck is sportscar-high. I like the way he used the hood without the fenders. The stock front hood vents make it look like snorting bull!

I think the cab is to round and the cowl sides don't look right to go fenderless, but they are nice looking trucks with the fenders and hood on them
