That looks good. I think the Lindberg 53 is a bit smaller than 1/25. I know the engine is. But, it looks like you'll surely make it work. Steve
Man, ya'll have no idea what it's like to live in a place where the only model club consists of 97% military model builders, 2% "I build anything" & then, there's me. I build custom car models because I love custom cars, NOT because I love to build models. I quit going to meetings because I got so tired hearing about the offensive of winter 1943 & the correct bolt patterns for the wheels on the Axis tanks....blah, blah, blah. BTW cool photos. Steve
Airplane and military modelers are the worst. They are the gold chainers of model building. They generally seem to think that car modelers are just playing with toys, and are below them. There is a lot of diversity in our club, a lot of guys are into the current muscle car craze and a lot of street rod and pro street stuff as well, and then a few traditional hot rod and custom guys, with around an average of 80+ people in attendance at each meeting, there is something for everyone. In fact, one of the 2 themes for next years mid-atlantic NNL is 50's customs, which was voted on by the club out of a list of around 20 possible themes. Steve, we do expect you to make it to Maryland in a year for that one! Between you and Bill Stillwagon, you guys could probably fill the whole table.
cool looking models guys.... Anyone ever build/hotrod a "Hubley" model kit with metal parts you have to file and screw together? Man, they're alot of work!! I'm building a '32 Chevy roadster right now. It's gonna be a bare metal rod with a mild channel/fenderless, more of a highboy. Stock 6 cylinder Chevy motor in '32, but with a badger top, header and painted up to look a little meaner. I love the Hubley bare metal look, it's cool as hell. I'm excited how it's going to turn out- I will post pics next Sunday of that and my other models.
I have a couple kits to sell ya Farmboy..... 29 A woodie and 30 Doozie phantoen They are All Scale Model repops of Hubleys.
Nice work on that flathead, Aeroman; looks great. I can see getting a lot of inspiration from the builders here....I just need a digital camera so I can share some pictures of my models too.
