Dean Lowe, I thought that my old 28 would be to your liking, I had to look at yours for a long time to make sure it wasn't my old truck. I am surprised that no one knows where it's at

  3. And I had to look at yours a while to see if it was mine, or not. Lot of similarities, but the interior in yours is way too different than mine was when I bought it.

Wow, I had to step back and take a double look. Very similar to my dads old truck from the 70s, same headers, etched glass wings. Didnt ever used to be root beer brown did it ? His was a 29 though, that truck is a sweet heart. Very nice.

Thanks man, it's been a fun project. Bags, Crown Vic swap (to include drive train) and plenty of other miscellaneous parts. Lots of trips to the junk yard.

Tried crown Vic front end on a 56 wasn't a fan of limited wheel choices. And how high it sat. But I think it would be nice to try on a newer one.

CV isn't the best for air ride either (camber issues), but I was able to pick up a complete car with a bad trans for $800. That's cheaper than you can get a Mustang II set up. Considering I bought the 61 as a body and chassis, it was a great value.

The pickups on this thread are really sharp. I hope to make my 1940, flathead powered truck a hotrod but too afraid to lower it or cut the work I've tried so hard to repair so I'll probably just add chrome rims and some small touches. 20180114_170136.jpg
