Hello, That guy is nuts...speaking of which, no amount of thickness in the wetsuit is full 100 % warmth coverage and prevention. The windchill alone is a death trap. Teenagers were tough back in the early 60's West Coast surfing days at 5 in the morning, in 50 degree water. Even with lower body protection, it just does not get warm and stuff happens. Jnaki People though we were crazy to see us out at Rincon surfing great waves with no full wetsuits for protection. But, those sessions did not last for the hours that normal surfing in normal weather allows. There are just some crazy people out there. (surfers or not)
There is actually an entire club dedicated to surfing the North Shore of Lake Superior. The waves are best in late fall, early winter before the lake freezes. Something about the "Gales of November". Interesting, and perhaps a bit crazy.... https://www.surfer.com/the-other-north-shore/
Can you say winter? [emoji51] one day this ol girl is gonna be a gasser... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
its -4 out in Detroit and I'm in my garage with no heat working on my coupe lol. I'm cheating a bit, as the garage is insulated though
You're right it's that cold.... I had to crank the heat up this morning just a little more to keep warm.... Even the cat crawled under the covers....
Be careful out there. No snow here this year, just ice. Went ass over appetite down the porch steps yesterday. I'll be taking it easy for several days till the cracked ribs heal. Snowbirding looks better every year.
It was decent out today. -14 c (6f), compared to last week -38c (-38ish f), so I snapped a couple pics of winters slumber.
Bought another box of logs for the fire place... That should be good for the weekend... This arctic blast sucks...
Dayuum... I spy with this big eye next to my little eye a really cold very cool project...time to start melting the ground around it @borderboy1971
Knoxville T.N. reported 7 degrees this morning so I know its colder here on the mountain top. Guess what I will be doing as soon as I finish my coffee. Bruce.
7 degrees this afternoon and warming them up for a winters drive. Amazing to watch. Took them out of a 50 degree garage. Let them idle with the electric fans on. The engine temp ran at 100 degrees with oil pressure at 20 pounds. Turned fans off. The engine temp ran up to 160 with the oil pressure all the way to 60 lbs. Amazing how cold single digit temps effect these Flathead’s.
