Henry is incredibly talented. You’re fortunate to have him building it for you regardless. How much did he take off the top ? Have you considered running with out a hood ?

He took 3 3/8 inches from the back and 3 5/8 in front. A couple years ago I liked them better without a hood but now for some reason I like them better with a hood. Funny how our tastes change. I also used to like 3 windows better and now its a 5 window for me.

steadfastmfgEvery time I walk out of the shop and walk back in, this thing catches me off gaurd.. I can't help but stop and stare!! I slightly wedge chopped the top and wedge sectioned hood to accent the rake!

The chop came out perfect and should look good when finished.

It's a fantastic car and you should be very proud of it. Henry and his crew are an incredibly talented and nice group of guys.

The car looks great, and work speaks for its self. I really hope you try to match the old paint. I have a 32 Ford tudor that will be chopped someday. I would like to keep the patina paint but I don't have any idea how to match it without it looking fake.

Car looks terrific! I'd love some more information on this wedge sectioning of the hood if possible.

Stance is easy on a #1932ford .... Get the nose as low as possible and get the back to fit evenly in the wheel wells! The fronts are Firestone 4.50/4.75-16 , The Axle is a 5 inch drop, the spring is a Durant Super low Series, and the front crossmember is flat!! Steadfast mfg.

Front hairpins are coming along also.

That pic of the hairpins has an optical dillusion. It looks like the tube is curved. ;)

Moving along on things, hood and grill shell were stripped and the hood was finished where Henry wedge cut it. Also got the cowl area finished where he installed the new vent.

It's been four months! What's the latest? That picture from Jan. 6th; it doesn't get any better than that!

Henry is finishing up a couple other cars he was working on along with mine. He is close to being done with them so mine should see some progress within the next month. I am anxious for him to get back on mine, he has some really cool stuff planned. Stay tuned.

The dash is in and the roof has been repaired for an insert. Using a 3 window dash and Henry is making a custom insert for the gauges.

Henry and his dad were making the headlight bars. The last pic is what the finished bar will look like.

Nelson was getting the dash dialed in the last couple days. Still waiting on the gauges.
