The car would look way cooler if the doors, trunk, top and hood were only open a quarter of the way. You would still be able to see inside the car. The seat is tilted ahead too. I wonder if the glove box is open.

  5. And check out Watson's classy Thunderbird in the background.
    All closed up....

I was at the show with the AutoButchers 56. Must've been right next to you and not known it.
That car used to have gold panelling if I remember correctly. As classy as the white is, I miss all that gold.

  12. I agree, the gold scallops looked great. But knowing Danny, I'm sure the car won't be plain white for long.

For those that have been around a while, you might remember the gold version. E

  15. How does this thread get so far down every day before I even get to look at it and chime in? LOL How awesome to see such enthusiasm for kustoms!

I was going to say that I see Mick is in a Merc mood today, but I guess he started in a Merc mood but got distracted and moved onto fat fenders. :)

That's it! I remember gassing up my 56 Chrysler next to him somewhere on the 101 going to Paso around 02 or 03. Super nice guy and a bitchin' car.

I know it's strictly a matter of opinion but this has to be the finest looking ride on this thread
    (but I'd remove the skirts).

That is quite cool. Something about that year that just grabs your attention.

  24. Looks like your quick switch from 49-51 Mercs to fat fenders yesterday hasn't worn off yet. :) I think we can safely establish that Kevan Sledge is the king of 39/40 Mercs!!

Some people get the flue, I get a case of the fat fenders. A lot better than the flue..........

Purrfect example why I love Kustoms. Love the kustom work with the extended front fenders. This is the way they should have rolled off the show room floor.
