Here is an old photo of a 55 black Nomad with bright colorful flames. It was setting up in a car show at the old Long Beach Municipal Auditorium. (not the Sports Arena.)

Not crazy about flames on a 55 but recently bought one on impulse while waiting to pay at Kmart.

Sweet I love 55 chevys you could paint sun flowers on the hood and I would still like it!!! I have had one in my life since I was 7 years old and yes we still have it and I was driving it last year.
