A BOMONSTER original scratched for an upcoming show raising money and blood for a good cause.

 

Simple light poles from torque tubes. Detail when I install on dock. I will add glass jars and cages then. The one pictures is of the ones and the railing for my riverfront stairs.

This is the first in a series drive in paintings. This was done while I was still teaching. That's me in the phone booth when I was a kid. The cars in the scene are all owned by my friends . My 57 is in the foreground. The painting was done before the car was customized. Painting is done in acrylics.

How did you achieve the fog effect?Very cool!

 

Don't know what you mean about fog. The effect that a have is created by painting over everything with a coat of matte medium with a small amount of color added. Then the whole painting is covered with a crackle medium. Finally a coat of umber is rubbed over the finish then buffed off with a cloth. The color stays in the cracks.

Yes I saw the halo around the lights and thought you were trying to depict a foggy night, very good effect I must say!

 

Not Friday anymore and this isn’t finished but it’s close enough to both

 

Quick throw away good just to see how it’d look
