Can anyone ID the manufacturer of this air breather? I have verified it fits a ‘57 Olds factory tripower setup with Rochester carbs and uses a Ford filter element. Thanks.

When I was in High School, I ran a 348, 335 H.P. three Olds J2 carbs, and a Thunderbird air cleaner
that looked just like that, in my 59 Impala. I'll bet it's made by Ford.

It looks similar to the Ford 406 3x2 air cleaner but the Ford used late model Holley type 2 barrel carbs. There are a lot of knock off types of Ford oval air cleaners out there. I think its aftermarket.

It’s definitely an aftermarket housing that took its design style from the Ford 3x2. And I have verified that it is indeed the same filter as a Ford 3x2. Thanks for the input everyone, I tried searching the casting numbers but have come up empty. Not a big deal since I know what it fits and what air filter it uses.
