OK, my car is pretty much ready to go to upholstery and exhaust. I have done a ton to my car and taken it all the way to the end...I now need to find a caring soul who is knowledgable in flatheads to go through my motor, help me with timing and carb tuning, and just re***ure me that everything is roadworthy and operational. Everything is there, car starts and runs and stops and shifts. Lights and brake lights work. Most of what I need is tuning the 2 carbs and synchronizing them, and messing with the timing. Come on, help a brother out. I will buy you beer. I will tattoo you. I will even pay you! Thanks a lot y'all.

You've probably heard this a hundred times but once more won't hurt.....that car is beautiful.
Back to your question......speak to Bill at All Ford in Campbell, he knows his flatheads, if he's too busy he will know a local flathead guru for sure.

You could always come up here to Santa Rosa and Vern Tardels shop, if he can't help you no one can. There's so much to do up here that it'd be a great weekend trip.

Yeah, I bought my car in the back warehouse over there, from Bill! Not sure if Bill would want the h***le to come over to my house and help me out with that motor...I will see if he can recommend someone. Thanks for the compliment Kev, I am almost there. As for going to Vern's, I would love to but driving this thing that far would not be in my best interest until getting it all ironed out.

    Adam,

I've never worked on a flathead before, but i've made my way through a lot of motors successfully that i've never worked on before. I'm pretty confident that we could combine half brain powers to get you timed and synch'd. When it comes to brakes, suspension, etc... I can help if you need another set of eyes to give a once over.

That said, if you need a non-professional but experienced amateur hand-- you can count on me. I'll be out of town all this coming week (Mon-Sun.). After that, just let me know if I can help. In the mean time if you need any tools, etc.. my wife is around while im out. (408) 504-2746

By the way, your car looks amazing. With blue skies on the rise, perfect timing to get running. My '60 Caddy project is coming along. I rebuilt the top end, air bagged, did exhaust and it's driving good. Now its in Alex's shop for paint. Will be driving with Road Zombies and San Jose crew down to Paso-- you should come along if you can.

    Take care,

Hey, thanks Scott. I may take you up on that. Most of the stuff I can do and/or figure out, but it is nice to have someone else's eyes and opinions. I will call you soon!
