Hot Rods Un- known. Dash insert, "hep me hep me"

    Ok need ur help on identifying this dash insert? Got them in a box of mixed auto parts, I think they are pretty cool, all the needles move freely, I have three of these pcs. So let me hear it[​IMG]

    Mid to late 50's GMC semi tractor 860 series . Tach went in the large hole on the right side. I had one of these trucks but have since sold it .

    Looked up 860 GMC and this came up and says 58??? Very similar so yeah I think its been nailed pretty close.

    59 was the last year of that dash. It was not used in all GMC models, a few of them had the Chevy cluster with the GMC logo on the plastic (such as the 59 fleet models, and some of the big ones like my 58 377 series bus)

    It was used in GMC pickups as well. I have a '55 1st design half ton and it is exactly the same as the OP's photo.

    The combined knowledge of the HAMB. I learned something also . I had on seen the semi version , didn't know it was used in pickups also.

    I can tell you for sure that the dash cluster is from a 1954 GMC and 1st series 1955 half ton trucks. They may have also been used in other truck or suburban models during those years. I am new to this forum so this may not be the place to ask but your dash panels are in much better shape than mine on my truck. Are you interested in selling them?
