If installing a 302 in a 55 Fairlane what side should the inlet and outlet be on a aluminum radiator? What size on the inlet and outlet, 1 1/2" or 2"
To get the most water pump to radiator clearance using the "short" 1966-69 water pump will help upper is 1 1/2" lower is 1 3/4" p***enger side lower hose. Scroll down to Post#5 here: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/sbf-short-water-pump-pulleys.303600/ This is in the "FAQ Sticky"

Yes, This '54 was originally a 223 Six the stock lower hose is p***enger side on those where as the Y-blocks were drivers side. Also the Six cylinder radiators are mounted further forward I hope you read Post #2 above and the link I posted.
