Attached is a diagram of a '49-'54 Chevy frame and it shows the measurement between the outside of the front frame rails as 26 and 31/64". Could anyone tell me this measurement on a '37-'39 Chevy frame? I've been searching and I can't find that. That's to the outside of the box section of the two frame rails--not the bottom flange. Thanks, Bruce in Florida
I think 1939 Chevy frames are totally different then 1937-38. 37-38 had either knee action front end on the masters and straight axle on the standard.
Just measured 3 I could get at - 37 (maybe 38), looks like it may have been beam axle 27 9/16 37 (all stock, knee action) 27 11/16 39 (master deluxe coil spring car) 27 3/8
