...ideas, that is...Is this cool or what? Take a set of '37 Ford taillights and graft on a set of Guide 682-C marker lights, and you have a perfect match to your headlights! I'm gonna do this on the coupe...what ideas have YOU stolen lately?...

Stealing ideas? I've been looking on parts catalogs at brackets and mounts and lokar shifters and making my own for 30 years or more. Why would I spend $$$$ for something I can make for free? Today I made front shock mounts for my 39 Ford. I suppose I should have taken pics and called it tech.

I would kill for most of the cars you do.......but, those lights are borderline gay looking to me.

...I will admit I'm not crazy about the mount brackets hangin' 'em out in the breeze there, but if I tucked 'em in close to my frame rails...;)

...I bought some '37 Ford taillights to put on the coupe, then saw this sedan on ebay. I wanted something different and these look cooler than stock '37s...and they match my headlights. I'll hook up the rear marker lights as turn signals instead of the 1157s, just like on the front.

Larry...they are ***S !!! Those other fukkers are either jealous or mad because they did not think of it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beside....you can't pick up the phone and call 1-800-BILLET and order a set like those. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure I've ever had an original idea. I just hope to combine the ideas of others into something that is my own.

Take the T I'm building, it's just my own curve on the Isky and Aldrich roadsters. Or my Camaro - it's just a combination between an L79 Nova and a Yenko Stinger.

Most everyone takes ideas from someone else.....most just will not admit it.

This 32 roadster ... set me on fire ... 30 years ago.
The above Roadster ( for those who do not know ) is Grey Baskerville's 32. It was a driver, for many years and has been the subject of many " How To " articles written by Grey for Peterson Publishing magazines.

I just installed a dropped headlight bar with Stock 32 headlights and added bumpers.....

I was very honored when Grey shots photos of my 32 .... and put my 32 in R&C magazine.

I'm gonna do this on the coupe...

Larry, the whole movement, as I see it, is the application of tried and true, read that traditional, hot rod parts. Larry you're stealing a good one.
Get your inspiration where the Rolling Bones do, from the "Book of Gow". You other guys keep getting yours from Chip and Posies and Boyd. Regards, Ron

No jealousy, not mad, I just don't like it that much. Would you put a handle on your gearshift knob? Because to me it seems like you're just adding a marker light to your marker light?

I think you have one of the few three windows around that's worth a second look. Stance, chop, and overall proportions are dead on as far as I'm concerned. Have fun adding the details.

Woah, I think Hidden (HAMB name) has alittle more at steak here than Ryan. I'll just ***ume you have permission at this point.

Larry - Back to the lights. I understand the idea of mirroring the look of the headlights, but I think the '37 tailights already do that as is. I'm done - you've probably heard as much "if it were my car I would..." as you would ever care to.

I just stole your idea. Thanks. I'm going to mount them upside down under a '34 hiboy. I've had a set of Guide lights laying around here for years, the buckets are shot but the signals are good; now I have a use for them.

Keep lookin' in the junk pile 'cause the solution is lookin' back at you.

...I never said anything negative about your car being painted. If you'll go back and re-read my 2 posts on your thread, the first one said...'Nice STREET rod'...and the second one said...'lighten up, we're all just fuggin' with you'...:D ...doesn't sound negative to me...

If he doesn't have permission that's pretty dirty. Grounds for a toof kickin' - for sure.

As for the lights on the lights.....

They work on headlights 'cause there is such a difference in size. On taillights they kinda look like a little monkey ******* a little football.

    Borderline cool. Borderline weird.

    About stealing ideas:
My mother told me that "imagination is the rearrangement of experience". I think she was correct.

Not sure is I can post the pics from Pate or not, as I don't know if my computer is properly downsizing or not. Any rate, the truck I saw had an oil pump in the bed. At the pressent price of fuel, this may be an idea I need to steal.

I did see a spreader bar that was grafted onto the front of the frame with a couple of pieced of metal so that it could be easily removed. I don't think the pic I took of it showed it off all that well, but it did look pretty easy to do and nifty when seen in person.

I'll try to add pics, but not sure if I can or not.
