Started the quick paint job on the wagon tonight. Body needed a little more work, but I don't have the time so I just got it the best I could today and started spraying tonight. Got the sealer, base, and intercoat down. Go back in the morning and tape out & spray the patterns, and clear it all. Just thought I'd post up a few progress pics....

Oh, I'm not keeping it. Just trying to do some more work to it to make it move since i couldn't find anyone who wanted to trade or buy before. Hopefully that will change with some improvements!

I mean, theres nothing that stick out super bad. Just small spots that would've taken a few more weeks than I have to take care of. This is the last week I can use a good paint booth for a couple of months, so I wanted to go ahead and get it sprayed. Once it's colorsanded and rubbed out, it should look damn fine for a daily driver (which is what is has been, since it's my only car!).

Heres an update, went to the shop at 8 this morning, starting taping of some quick & simple patterns. Sprayed 2 coats of white ice pearl over everything, pulled the tape, sprayed one more coat of ice pearl, then sprayed down a gallon of clear. The clear was some I'd never used before, and WON'T be using again. I couldn't get the hood and tailgate to lay down worth a ****, I planned on sanding & buffing regardless so i guess it doesn't really matter. Anyway, here some pics from about 20 minutes ago. I'll get some pics of it in the daylight posted later tonight.

Have to see it outside-the booth lights in the reflections are messin' it up:(
Been keepin up with this one-looks kick-***! I do wish you'd welded up those trim holes and shaved the handles. I guess whoever buys it can 'handle' that

Alright, the batteries must've been going out in the camera since some of these are blurry. Heres Some shots when when I pulled it out of the booth tonight. The ice pearl doesn't show up in pictures too good, especially when I have to shrink them down. I'm linking a couple of large pictures so more detail can be seen without stretching the test on here two feet.....

It came out ok for a last minute deal. A little time with some 1500 & a buffer will make it 10 times better though. I used Western Select Clearcoat, and it ****S. Primer surfacer flows out better than this **** does. I won't be buying it again....Gonna finish putting things back together tomorrow, let it sit out in the sun all day, then start cutting & buffing thursday.

Thanks for the kind words. Got the car back home now, trying to figure out a way to get the side trim back on that doesn't involve me waiting a week for clips. Breaking out the 3m tape & adhesive!:D
