I'm looking to swap a 302 into my 60 F100 and I was wondering what oil pan I need to use. If anyone's got an answer for me that'd be great.
Depends on what is done to the front suspension. Lowered or MII or something like that you will need a rear/mid van/4x4 pan or fox body Mustang dual sump pan. Deepest part of the sump is right over the axle. I did a MII on my '57 and had to use a dual sump pan. SPark
I did an engine swap for a SBF 302 in my 1960, but had already installed IFS setup and had trouble working out an oil pan that would work, so I ended up using a SBC engine with a T700R4 because it worked out better for me.
yes , my grandpa bought it new, so I don't want to modify it to much, i'm also using a automatic trans
The fox body pan will give you the most clearance, a van/4x4 pan would be the next best bet and a regular front sump pan would be the closest. They all should clear a beam axle but the front sump would be the closest to it. SPark
