That is my all time favorite Munsters episode ,only later did I learn in person how no brakes can REEEEEEALY ****!
Always great to see anything posted on the Munsters' cars... "Hot Rod Herman" and the episode where Lily has the Koach custom-built for Herman's birthday are two of our all-time favorites!! It's a shame the Barris-built chain-link Sting-Ray bike designed for Eddie on the show never saw screen time... We had the opportunity once to ask Butch Patrick about it, he vaguely remembers riding it around the set a few times, but other than that, not much else. My kids bought me the Munsters DVD collection for x-mas.I've watched that episode and the one where Lilly has the Coach built many, many times.Brings back memories of when I saw it first on T.V..
That was great! Haven't seen that in years. Brought back memories of building down hill gocarts to look like Munster cars when I was a kid! Thanks!
Man, This is my all time favorite also!!!!! This episode was filmed @ the long defunct San Gabriel Drag Strip located between Live Oak & Lower Azusa off Rivergrade Rd. Closed in like 1964-65. Did you guys pause on the extremely Cool 64 Buick Skylark Wagon with the window roof & the Rader wheels with small whites Ck out the rail job to the right of the pic & left of the car too. The New Irwindale Raceway is located accross this former location presently. It took nearly 30 years to bring a drag strip back the SG valley after Miller Brewing bought out the In-N-Out Burger Boys and demo'd one of the all time greatest drag strips around=Old Irwindale 65-77 .
Thanks for posting that.I loved that show when I was a kid,Lily was hot but Marilyn was hotter.A blonde thing I guess.
Lilly was beautiful. Real name was Yvonne DeCarlo, also famous for playing opposite of Charelton Heston (Moses) in the "10 Commandments". Ohhh! what a beauty she was.
