runs and drives great. it looks kinda rough but the suspension, steering and brakes (just rear) all work real nice.

That's the the best thrash I've seen yet.........

Thanks for sharing and great work!

  6. I think anyone could build a car like that in 27 days...........try building one with CLUTCH LINKAGE, that would have taken you another 20 mins.;) to do the job!!

This has to be the best build-up I've seen, ever. Thanks for the kick in the ass, I'm going to the garage................

A buddy of mine questioned if this was safe or not. I'm not an engineer, so I don't really know.

Either way, that is an impressive build.

    I have no excuses now.

(except no money and no time...):)

Friggin awesome build there guys. I have a couple questions please.

Did you reinforce the front spring mount any and are you worried about flex?

Does it stop okay or scarry with just rear brakes?

How much room is in the cab? Being a fat guy I have to ask these questions

Great ingenuity! Grab what ya got and make a wheel turner!

What are the argon(?) bottles for behind the cab?

  13. That's an incredible quick build. Great post.

Hey, what's the chances of seeing some detailed pics of that cab & 1/2 pickup in the foreground? That has a "killer" look.

I know people with the same pile of parts who can't seem to get a car together in a year, let alone a month. Congrats.

    They are very snug!

I am going to use the center bench seat out of a Voyager...lat 80's early 90's. But i'm 5'6 and 140 - and i've already test fitted it - seems to be comfortable enough. probably won't work for you though

alot of guys take the back off the seats and put a piece of plywood against the old seat mounts and cover it with some thin padding - makes a big differeance
If it is channeled you might just pad a piece of plywood and bolt it right to the floor.

ask "leadsledmerc" aka kieth what he has in his '33 p/u - his is channelled 8" and he is pretty tall

The front spring mount is 1/2" steel with gussets, solid as a rock. It actually stops real nice, it doesnt weigh much. The cab wasnt channeled so it is surprisingly comfortable. I think brian is 6-5 and he said it wasnt bad

  22. Yep, that's the one.

Wanted to find out what he used to make that body. Now I see the doors are long. I like that. Makes it fairly roomy inside.

At first I thought it might be a shortened up 4-door that had the back door section removed, but kept the small rear quarter windows.

Nice job. Nice cars :) .

    Very cool.

I have a question though. I noticed in a pic of the rearend that it looks like the spring perches are welded to a sleeve that is the BOLTED to the actual rearend.

Do you have any close up pics of this set up?

and, would you care to explain to me the reasoning behind what you appear to have done?

Also, if they are bolted on, how do you make sure the axle housing does not rotate inside the bolt on sleeves?

I'm very interested in this, as I am doing something similar to my project and I would love to hear what you have to say about what was in that pic!

Again, cool stuff. I dig it for sure.
