Thanks on the Chrysler guys... Keith - that is gonna be cool. Who & Leadfoot - Yeah it's obnoxious ain't it! It's Tamiya Candy Lime Green...should be able to get it at any decent hobby shop. Dave - Thanks for the show pics! Steve - Outstanding. That mill is gonna look GREAT!!! Fuel bowl is da ****! Fidge - Nice score! Aus - I'm speechless. Wild Deuce - Those pics were taken with my old camera (5 year old HP). I had to have ****loads of light and use a magnifyin' gl*** in front of the lens to get them and they still ****. New camera is a little better (as this pic shows), but still not the greatest. Just experiment. Olson
Dave, congrats on getting your 51 Chevy g***er in Scale Auto! How many of those Lil Coffin kits do you have? Seems like you use those floor boards and rails for lots of projects. Do they fit most of the Monogram kits with a little tweeking? I tried it on the Monogram '30 Ford, looks like it will work perfect. Love the Phaeton. Mike.
My latest project is a 1/8th scale 32 ford street rod, which I will be building in the style of a hi-boy. It will have a flathead V8 which will have some Ardun perforance equipment on it. The color scheme will be cl***ic black on the outside, with a black and yellow interior.
Thanks! I haven't seen the issue yet, but it's always cool to see your work in a magazine. As far as the Lil' Coffins go, I just bought this one for parts on Sunday morning, and hacked it up this far by that same evening. I just love how they look under a Monogram 1/24 Model A or Deuce. I think I'm going to try to adapt the fenders from the Lil Coffin to a woody - make some space age beach wagon out of it. As far as the phaeton goes, I think I'm going to swap the Americans out for Radirs from the T-Bolt kit this time around... and maybe I'll try a minimal up-top if I don't put a Hallock-style windshield on it. I'm picturing a metallic or pearl green-blue on this one. Dave
