We have found some wheels and tires for our 32 , there is a distance issue . We are in New Zealand and the old ford wheels and tires are in Milan NY , we need them shipped to Buda TX where we have a 32 pickup stored at a buddys . We plan to be in TX early April drive to the roundup then ship the 32 back to NZ.
Anyone have any thoughts on a suitable shipper , they are approx 50lbs each.

Search their site for "third party logistics"

The sender crates them and drops them at their local fastenal store. NY
The receiver pics them up at their local fastenal. Tx

Just make it easy for the dock guys with a nice pallet and secure

They might be able to do it though Fastenal. they have a store in Kingston NY about 16 miles away. They could be shipped to the Austin or San Marcos store depending on what was easier for your friend.
Your friend or someone would have to find out how or if they wanted them packaged. Guys have had good luck shipping with them. https://www.fastenal.com/en/1/services-and-resources

I think the cheapest and easiest would be shipping from someone's commercial UPS account. No need to package the tires just tape a piece of card board to them for the UPS label.

(Just an option) I'm on the other end of NY (Champlain). Don't know where you guys are flying into but I'm about an hour south of Montreal, PQ, Canada right on the Canada/US border. If you can get the wheels up here I can store them in my barn until you arrive. FYI: I receive packages for my New Zealand buddies living up in Montreal.

Ditto. Very easy. I sent 2 rear fenders for a 34 Chevy from St. Louis to Arizona. Shrink wrapped and sent. Cheaper also.

Yep Fastenal had a good price but they require a store to store deal and require crating, The seller is not able to crate them (I didn't ask him to) he has injured his back. Non crated is $100 extra. I think Fastenal quoted $170 , i could live with that as its a long haul from NY to TX.
I got a price from freightquote yikes .
    XPO Logistics $397.
    UPS $597.
Dam this is more than the wheels.
Thinks at present it may go in the too hard box.
