History Pat Ganahl’s Low Buck Special... yea, it’s mine!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by SamIyam, Jan 24, 2018.

  1. Nope... no runs. Just cackled it once at the CHRR.
    Doesn’t need much... new tires, check the clutch out... clean the fuel system, new injector lines, new fuel shut off cable... etc.

    Wow! Great to hear you'll be running it for all to enjoy.
    I'd smoke the tires all the way down my street with it-just once!

    WOW! I haven't seen any mention of that car for years. Congrats, Sam.
    Man, Bob Mura....er, Floyd Lippencott really knew how to haze the tires in that photo. I can just imagine the sound.
    Sam, I can't bring myself to think you won't run the car down the strip at least once....c'mon now. Sam?

    Sam,
    I had a xerox copy in my "I'm gonna build one of these someday" folder.
    Enjoy!
    Unfortunately, I only have Part II.

    Holy smokes I just saw this - saw the pics on Instagram ! Really cool! Does the engine still have the 5/8" stroker crank? Is the engine all the same as the article says?

    @402BOSSMAN did you see this?

  28. It actually has BETTER parts! It's a 420 inch 354... Joe Mondello Heads, Venolia Pistons, Carillo Rods etc... Should be good for 8.90's if it hooks.

    Was my senior year in high school. Still have my original copy. I made copies of the article and put all over my dorm room my freshman year at Northeast. Good build. Good days.

    That looks like a whole lotta fun- how can you go wrong with an 1800 pound (guessing) car with a Hemi?
