Thinking about buying this car and current owner knows little about it as he bought it off ebay. Would like to know more about it if I can like history etc and am hoping someone recognizes the car. It is an all steel car with what looks like new paint and upholstery. It has a "tired" 327 engine with a 350 turbo, lots of new repro Vintique chrome parts, has fibergl*** dash, original chrome garnish, new floor in the rear half, parallel leaf rear suspension with 9" Ford, dropped axle up front with four-bar. It has potential, but looks to me like it was quickly thrown together to re-sell. Any information would be appreciated.
From here it looks like a nice car, and if you wanted to make some ch***is changes it would be easy to do. But I have no history on it, and have never seen it in Iowa before. Sorry.
Thrown together? Lots of '32's have been built with less than stellar parts but that looks like a pretty nice car. I've started with a lot less. Buy the car if it's reasonable. History can be determined later! Good luck.
Looks really good to me as well. Technology being what it was back then. The door gaps look great. the radius of the door compared to the quarter panel looks awesome. Most take a ton of work to make look this good. Buy the car... if you have sellers remorse, call me... I'll take it off your hands. lol If you decide not to purchase... Do you have his contact information?
Wonder if the old eBay sell ID is known, that would my first step on the history trail. The 33-34 headlights aren't seen often on a '32. Bob
I recognise it as the one that I would like to have in my garage. The question is, is it in your garage yet ? Beautiful car either way !
