ahh gr*** hopper you remember.. i'm more careful now ..dune buggys are cheaper.. you inspired me to move in this direction ya know spose its time for me to thin the herd too trying mostly to be no caps...
i am gonna build a rolling platform for the body... any storing tips for the fenders and stuff to keep formed right..?
i saw that there too....one of the worst fibergl*** bodies i have ever seen. poor inside bracing and very wavy. sorry , i hope you did not pay too much
did you figure out why the doors were not on it? you would think that someone selling it would have them on
well ... the story goes that as could happen in any ones life the owner was in mid build and encountered a family crisis... had to sell we bought this body and extras from the second party... original owner had a huge stack of reciepts .. the frame was almost done..yup they had started on strightening out the body ... the door's had been on and off the strikers and latches were never put in.. price seemed right to us... hey its a dune buggy not steel ....I checked online and we are well under most bare body prices and we have more items with this deal there was a real rusty sliced and patched 31 model coupe body there at the swap .. the one in the back of a pickup , for almost what we paid .. i know i know inflated prices these days maybe you should have stopped me... maybe not
The beauty of fibergl*** is you can throw the filler on it and it likes it! I havent seen a gl*** body yet that didnt need work and I myself would rather work on gl*** than try to fix rusty **** any day. dont let the other guy with the bad at***ude spoil tour fun.. It will be just fine... Once its done maybe you can ***le it as a 32 too just to piss off the rest of the purists then sell it for big money and piss em off even more (been there done that) ... Dave
Most likey because the doors do not fit ... Like already stated ... Hey it's plastic ... just deal with it and fix it.
Old post.. new member. Would love to see how it turned out!! Love the poverty caps! Still using em? By the way... Mt "Plastic Fantastic" looks awesome, it's light, won't ever rust, cost a 3rd of the price to build and a 3rd of the time. I've got 24,598 miles on it as of today!!
