I'm looking for some front suspension ideas for a 51 Chevy truck I'm going to work on. Current suspension is functionally sound but stiff and does not handle speeds over 50. What a good choice to use to make the truck more drivable. Thanks
My truck goes down the road perfectly straight and smooth at 60 mph with the stock suspension, what kind of problems are you having over 50?
Traditional would be rebuild the stock axle setup, dropped axle if you want it lower. If everything up front is in good condition, highway speeds should be no problem. My F-1 has the OE I beam under it and will cruise at 70 all day long.
First I have a lot of play in the steering wheel I would guess the steering box is worn. I did rebuild everything else kingpins etc. is there a different steering box that is better than a stock one? Thanks for your reply.
