    Text from above link:

This auction is for a circa 1932 - 1934 Advertising Ashtray for the Universal Credit Company / Corporation featuring a cast metal example of the first series of Ford Flathead V8 Engine

The Universal Credit Corporation was a financing en***y for Ford cars that existed in the US in the 1930s. In the early 1930s, Ford created its own auto-loan finance company known as the Universal Credit Co. The new endeavor faced steep challenges being launched in the midst of the great depression, but it succeeded in adding thousands of Fords being sold annually while also adding to company profits through interest payments. It was not publicly advertised as being part of Ford Motor Company, but most Universal Credit advertising and promotions clearly suggested buying only Ford cars and trucks. Today the branch is known as Ford Motor Credit. This ashtray is made of cast metal with a silver wash. It is 3.75" I. Diameter and stands 3.5" high. Has no broken or missing parts Flathead V8 engines shows a lot of detail. The fan mounted on a tiny shaft actually spins. Raised lettering around the base reads: UNIVERSAL CREDIT COMPANY

The fan wasn't mounted on the snout of the crankshaft until 1939.

Definitely a 1940. Has the crank mount fan, and the side-shift transmission.

  15. Yeah, but someone stole the carburetor.

Thanks for the updates! I am not a flathead guy, so I just sit back and learn when the subject is brought up.

Try an 1/8 scale carb out of one of the Monogram "Big Deuce" or "Big T" kits. Nicely scaled Stromberg 97, can be resin-coated to 'gild it down' to match the rest of the engine.
As is, it looks like a "Spare", as defined by British 'Tea-Baggers'. (no offense to our Mother Countrymen, just an expression)
    Love that rare item!
