Awesome pic's, I love the Stan & Ollie Model T.... And I'm wondering who's chopping that Merc, it was like that when I was there in '94....and 2002!! As for the truck/trailer combo, if my memory serves correctly, its something like this..... The owners of the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood had it built for rich celebrity 'future clients' to take them up into the hills for hunting trips. I believe the entire truck body is canvas, and its supercharged & VERY fast!
Cool...........thanks for the pix......that Bugatti is a beauty......and that roundy round car, did it have an OFFY in it? Chris Nelson Kansas
Wow! blown240, great photos. You did a much better job than me. I had a hard time with the lighting, it's so dark in there. Your shot of Billy Gibbons' roadster is awesome. Don't you love the speed shop display? But you can't buy anything. I see they've changed stuff around since I went in Feb. The yellow roadster in the gift shop replaced a So-Cal built red '32 5 window and the Von Dutch stuff is new. Was the Steve McQueen display gone? Did you think the prices in the gift shop were ridiculous? or was it just me. obtw the hot tamale in front of the taco stand is very cute, you done good! Thanks for posting all the pics, I know it takes alot of work. Mine can be seen on a previous thread...... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106821
I had to brighten them up in Photoshop alot. Thanks for the nice comments! If anyone wants a Hi_Res copy, let me know. I took them with a 5mp camera, so they are probably 2-3 megs each.
