Hot Rods Scammer Alert!

Thought I would share this one just to help keep folks one step ahead of these dirtbags.

I ran into some scammers this week. One picture post with nice car and good deal. Sends me email about losing husband 3 months ago etc etc. I caught on when the words “ship the car to you” came up for a car only 5 hours away that I would have gladly driven to and paid cash for. Long story short, they wanted to use eBay motors for payment. Sent a really move looking invoice. Yes so when you call the number at the bottom of that invoice, you get some ***hole overseas. The number doesn’t work now.

 

Had the same thing over Christmas. Sent me a eBay motors invoice. None of the links worked.

Yep, I inquired about a model A and they give me the widow story and wanted me to pay thru ebay motors (car was on craigslist) or in some odd way. I asked for a picture of a dated newspaper on the seat of the car. Then all of a sudden the car was in a different state since the lady had moved. It was my time to move on as well!

 

I can't believe you guys missed this! She took 11k for it and it's now sitting in my garage...

 

LOL! Can I come over and see how nice it is?

I don't recall having seen one of those in a while.

 

That's strange.....cause I paid 9500 for it and it's in MY garage!

 

That's funny, I am dating the widow and driving the car! She buys the gas, and hauls my ashes.

 

Y'all are just jealous! I am now engaged to her daughter who is a "Nigerian Princess" and is inheriting millions! (Not a half-bad cook either!)
