Hey guys, picked these up at an auction awhile back to use on my model a, but ended up using originals. Still curious what these originally came off of though, so if anyone had any ideas that'd be cool. They were attached to that headlight bar when I bought them. Can't say what it is off but it looks like an Orca Bettie thought it was a great place to sit at one time. I'm thinking early /mid 20s and not Ford.

its a 30's light, 20's were most commonly drum (other than the ford style and a very few others) , looks a little agricultural...

Haha would've taken a serious set of cheeks to bend that bar!

  5. The mounting bracket suggests that it's off of some kind of big truck. It could be from almost any make, as the big truck manufacturers bought components like headlights from outside suppliers rather than making their own. So you might see the same identical Guide of BLC headlights on a dozen different makes of big trucks. The general shape of the bucket and the bulb and reflector dates it to the late '30s, as sealed beams became the industry standard in 1940.

Hmm, that seems to make a lot of sense given the heavy duty build qualities of that mounting bracket. Wonder what it would take to come up with some rings and lenses for the buckets as it'd be nice to use them on a future project. Just realized I should've put a measuring tape next to the headlight for reference, rookie move!
