I was just wondering if anyone could tell me
If 41 front fenders and hood fit the later 46,47,48 body?

  6. I put a 41 nose on my 46 coupe. Just had to fudge the 46 running boards in the front.

Are you aware the Mercury has a 4" longer wheelbase...........all ahead of the firewall?

It’s a Canadian model so the wheel base is the same. Only the us version has the extended wheelbase

Make sure of that. There was a Canadian merc with the Ford 114 wheelbase, but there were also 118 inch wheelbase Mercurys and Monarchs available in Canada.

I have been pondering this same swap. In my head it had all the possibilities to be a true bolt on with my liquid wrench at work. And, as I will be doing a dropped axle/reversed spring eye addition, I will make sure to do the forty-one jingo as well. Now all I need is the sheet metal. I love this concept. Too bad the posters of yore who started the original question and answer never got back to report how their stuff came together --- or didn't.

The merc has a fantastic looking grille. Why do you want to make a merc look like a Ford?
