....and a new shirt design for Rosie's Flatheads. This is the color version, but I also have a straight black & white as well.

  7. A great start everyone!:) 2149.jpg { Jigger } It goes without saying your one of the best car artist. I really liked your 56 Nomad and 58 Chevy gassers. I tried doing a drawing of my Nomad driver as a gasser, it's an oldie. ;)

    Hello,

In our early college days, this local So Cal kid was able to get a 55 Nomad for his daily driver. It was stock, bright red, and definitely a cool cruiser. For everyone, it was the best cruiser around in our neck of the woods. I thought it would be a cool, tow/push vehicle for our old 40 Willys C/Gas Coupe. (future image) So, I drew my version with Halibrand Mags and a conversion to a tow/push vehicle coming back down the return road at Lions Dragstrip.

In a discussion with my brother during his 1960 recovery, he mentioned that our future Willys look would have been yellow with Olympic Auto Parts drawn on the side and Reath Automotive on the trunk.

But, after drawing and filling in a yellow color, it looked awful.

But, what would it have been like, with my first 40 Ford Sedan Delivery all fixed up with a big SBC and all of the go fast racing goodies towing that red 40 Willys in 1960? (for starters, the original, salmon pink color on the sedan delivery and the Willys, would be a true red color instead.) It would have certainly drawn a lot of attention from people in the pits and return road. Let alone seeing a bright red, 40 Willys ripping down the drag strip like the Pittman/Edwards’ red, 40 Willys record-setting coupe.

Hmmm, maybe that is why my brother wanted to get our Willys painted yellow…there weren’t any bright yellow Willys coupes racing in the gas classes at the time. He saw that red Willys first hand in the pits and from his 58 Impala at the starting line.

I added some white flour for the salt. Lol 20170615_113329.jpg It was for the diecast thread. But I thought it's kinda artsy too.;) Ron...
