Hard to tell how far forward the engine is of the rear axle... I think the C5 transaxle might allow this setup..

More than one guy on the planet with good taste eh Rick?
Its from the land down under. Notice steering wheel on the wrong side.
And the second color looks more like champagne and not white.

    Yeah! haha...
I noticed the champagne color, my wife said "Hey the top color is the same as Buford's donor Corvette". I didn't notice the RHD.
The thing is just gorgeous. The way the sleeper transitions the roundy cab to the squarey bed really works. Even the modern-ish rear fenders flow quite nicely.
    Thanks for posting it.

  14. Thanks shopdawg, sure would love to have a pair of those unobtainium hubcaps. In 15 years I've seen one on Ebay and it looked like it had been run against a wall for at least a mile, they were letting it go cheap, only wanted $99 for it.

Those are really nice, tool box one side, gas tank access other side. Probably would work best for a fifth wheel bed, tough access for a conventional bed unless you could tilt it. But still kool.

Went back for a lustful look. Check out the sanders in front of the rear tires.

Wow, lots of bling! Very nice.

  21. I notice a manual/power cab jack in front of the fuel tank, then lots of other hydraulics under the bed, wouldn't think all of it would be for the bed, cab must tilt also.

    Looks like an AC Mack.

  25. Back when men were men and they walked bow-legged. (and sheep ran scared)
Wonder how the traction was with steel wheels on green logs. Hope the poor******** didn't have to go down any steep hills.

    They were available in Australia

    http://www.oldsmobileinaustralia.info/37trkhist.html

The 1937 model year marked the introduction of the "Forward Control" series of Oldsmobile trucks. This series used the same basic Oldsmobile 230ci side valve engine as the conventional truck but was made available in a 3 ton (13,000lb) and 4 ton (16,650lb) version. Wheel base for the 3 ton was 130" while the 4 ton was increased to 155". The 4 ton was equipped with a 2 speed rear axle, vacuum****isted brakes and larger 7.50 x 20" tyres (6.50 x 20" for the 3 ton).
