The read up about them sounds good and made in the USA.
If that price comes with the switches it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Is there a reason you are going a pre wired specific vehicle harness?
Tell us what you have in your truck to wire.
Probably be able to cut that price in 1/2 and still use a quality kit......................................

Don't know anything about Lectric but if you want another source you might try YnZ wiring in Redlands, CA. If they do make one it will be spot on and they can customize it to fit your specific needs if you want. Not cheap but good quality made in the USA stuff.

    Thanks for the responses!

I am not doing anything fancy; just a 292 w/alternator. Also, I would like hazards, a single backup light, and maybe a single fog light up front.

This started because I got a donor short bed. The donor bed tail light harness has four wires, but my stock flareside harness only has three. I think it came from a later truck. I figure at this point, I will regret not rewiring the truck.

You can't go wrong with a American Auto Wire Highway 9, you will have to get creative with the back up lite and fog lite but it's basic stuff.............................

Thanks for the input. I definitely like the price of the Auto Wire, and the simpler the better for me. I just want to get it on the road; so maybe I'll forget the fog light for now, etc.

The fog light would be a simple toggle switch with a fused 12V going in and out to a grounded fog light.
If you don't have a backup switch on the trans linkage, auto or manual (most don't), another toggle same as fog for the backup light...................................................

Okay, that seems pretty straight forward. Appreciate all of the input.
Leaning towards American Autowire 15 now and waiting on payday...

You can get by with something like the Rebel 9+3 harness. I used a Kwik Wire 14-circuit in my '59 Ford and it went well. Great instructions, but I needed to get a lot of little things like light sockets, lugs and connectors for the front lighting.

I have used Lectric Limited on my Chevelles & are perfect for restored cars, on Hot Rods, I have used American Auto Wire with similar results. Love the cloth covered in my '34 Roadster.

All great info. I ended up going with American Auto Wire Highway 22. You need special crimpers for this kit, which you can rent from them or buy...
