I have an old international D pick up. Mustang 2 front end. 9 inch ford rear.
Running Goodyear wrangler a/t 255x70x16 rear and Turaza el 400 2x55xR16 on front.
Having a hard time finding all 4 tires in goodyear with same tire patern.
Is this a safety issue driving in wet weather etc, Tire place said to replace the 255x70x16 to
a 235x70x16 and this might help . Only suggestion so far is firestone that I am not keen on.
Only other way I can think is to go with a 15 inch rim on the front and 16 on the back.

With full fenders tire pattern matching not so important - unless patterns are drastically different should be OK - find a tire size chart that compares all series of different sizes to find same diameter - need alternative to 55 series front - what width rims running?

I have run mismatched tires/sizes, tread patterns, brand, front and back in pairs for years without any problems. IMO you should not mix radial with bias ply as the ride, handling characteristics are totally different.
