Does anyone know who does chrome grill repair work that I can trust with my grill?
I am working on a 1938 Dodge Pickup and the grill and trim needs some repair work but as some will know these pieces are not available and almost impossible to find.
I have heard several people plus friends tell me about shipping parts to vendors for work and never seeing there parts again.
So looking for some advice/ venders that have done good work for you all.
    Thanks

Does Advanced Plating do repairs like that? I cannot remember the guys name but a local guy showed me chrome he had done by someone in British Columbia , Canada. It was show worthy.

I use and have used advanced plating in Nashville Tn. They do show quality work and seen repairs they have done for others that are to notch. They have done all my stuff for restorations on Outboard motors and they are going to do stuff on my ride soon.

1938dodge, you are right about finding parts for them. I was looking for a hood ornament for over 4 years, finally found a good one. I am now looking for a grill, so if you have a extra or know where one is at I would be interested in it.

I sent this cracked pot metal 37 Dodge PU grill to Wrights Custom Chrome in Grafton Ohio for repair.
They stripped the chrome, welded/soldered the cracks and returned it to me.
I made a new crank hole cover to replace the missing one and returned it and the grill to Wrights for new chrome.
I used hidden screws on the back side of the cover to secure it and prevent loss. 102_2279.JPG 102_2281.JPG

What are you looking for in particular the grill slates or the chrome trim?
I might have a spare set of grill slates but not any of the trim, I'll have to look

Advanced Plating is the best of the best. Never have heard of a unhappy customer. Their prices reflect their work.

I looked at a damaged 38 grill yesterday by chance and it appears that the vertical bars are solid and possibly stainless steel. Might be easiest to make new ones.
The surround pieces appear to be chrome plated steel. Strip the chrome and straighten those
