Thinking about putting a 30` or 32` Ford grill shell on the 40` Ford radiator. Have a 59A flathead and want to match the shell to the radiator. The body is a 30` roadster. Will there be any problems I should know about? Any thoughts? Thanks.

    I used a 53 customline lower tank.
My rad guru fabricated a top tank and a core to fit a 29 shell.

Modine #397, needs the flanges trimmed but will fit in an A shell, pre '70 Ford and sbc port layout...centered filler...
    From a 1963ish Ford 6 cylinder pick up... between $125 and $150...
I recommend a sheet of plastic light defuser...trim to fit, glue in, looks good and protects...
    $13 at lowz, does 2 shells. DSCN1071.JPG DSCN1073.JPG DSCN1074.JPG
buddies sedan with #397 radiator... DSCN0820.JPG

I used a 36 Ford radiator on my old av8 coupe. Used a 32 truck grill shell. Those radiators have an indentation in the bottom of the upper tank to clear the fan. That car ran a full length model A torque tube which makes things real right in front of the engine but everything fit. Those radiators are usually like 150 bucks used in good shape. Theres pics of that car in my albums. Just a thought
