    Is it '40's, '50's or '60's Style?

    Drag Race Inspired ?

    Salt Flat Style ?

    Circle Track Inspired?

    Sports Car Inspired?

My old Purple 'A' Coupe is a C/Altered, Drag Race inspired from the early '60's.
    I run a Chevy 301 w/2 Carter 4-bbls, Turbo-hydro trans and a Chrysler rear.

So, what do you have? Show us pictures and tell us the story.

I dunno, whatever you can get away with.

There was one of these at the Syracuse Nats in '95, from Ohio, had chrome nerf bars and roll bars all around it. Even had a hitch knob on the back, musta towed a small trailer.

I have a '26 T that is drag race inspired. I don't have any pictures near this computor but you can check out on my web at www.jerrysezar.com. for photos. I grew up in the old days ( I'm 60) and was influenced by frequent trips to Fremont dragstrip. This car is a real American Hot Rod. I've unfortunatly had to trailer the car to non-local events due to the fact that there are a few in the law enforcement agencys that do not feel the same way as we do about no mufflers, fenders and other infractions that make our hobby interesting. As soon as I feel we are close enough to talk my way out of a ticket or arrest we take it out of the box. The engine is a '71chev 400
    .030 over with a 350 **** crank, TRW 12.89-1, Pro Topline 235 heads with
2x4,s on a tunnel and comp cams flat tappet ***embly, 9 inch with 4.30 gears on a lightened spool. The car has run on the street for three years and anyone I ran off with lost. I took it to Famoso in March to see what it would do, but tech banned my car saying it would go to fast for the roll cage to protect my knees in the event of a mishap and they didn't have a "cl***" for my kind of car........its an Alston cage.....we plan on running it at Sacramento.......I think they just didn't want a Hot Rod running that was capable of giving a race car a run for the money. Everytime I start the car up I get just as excited as I did when I was a kid and my gramps or dad would let me start their cars and sometimes they would let me drive. I can hardly wait for Paso, lotsa real hot rods.

    Hey Jerry,

I really like your '26 T. I have seen it at Vintage Ford in the past. Also, we read here about accident last year. Good to have you here.

Boyce Asquith provided a lot of the inspiration for the '32 roadster race car I'm building. Pat Ganahl took this picture of Boyce warming the tires.

I know of several "serious" Deuce roadsters that are currently being built that were heavily influenced by Boyce's roadster.
