I posted about my 1942 Mormon-Herrington Pickup either late Friday or early Saturday. I went to check replies last nite and there was replies I refreshed it and the post disappeared . I checked my profile and theres no trace of it. Could it have been taken down for some reason? The original post was "1942 Mormon-Herrington Pickup truck " info wanted I think not 100% sure what I posted

I'm not sure that any of us would know.
Maybe send a message and pose the question to the moderators.

    Your thread was reported

While your new truck is pretty cool,
it was deemed neither a hot rod nor a custom and as such should be removed.

I would bet if you made a car hauler out of it and put a hot rod on it no one would complain.

Wow that's harsh. I could see if maybe I used bad language or been derogatory to someone. But I'm just a guy trying to get some info from knowledgeable guys on here. To be taken down because someone has his idea of what a hot rod is without even being informed?
WOW I thought this was a hot rod, sorry, car enthusiasts site?
Well to the guys that were nice enough to reply to my post, and help me learn about my, I guess stock truck, thank you. I wish I could have learned a little from you guys. To the guy that was insulted that you had to read that in the hot rod section, sorry? Anyone know of other FRIENDLY sites out there where its a little more user-friendly?
Somehow I doubt this post will last to long.

Take it from a guy that has had a lot of threads deleted,it's never personal just the moderators trying to keep it on track.

No since in worrying about a deleted thread, you ask a question and a moderator was nice enough to explain why it vanished,it was most likely reported as off topic,I don't know what you said you wanted to do to the truck but you have been a member long enough to realize the site is a traditional hit rod & custom site.

Did you mention a sub frame or frame swap, that will kill a thread in a heart beat. HRP

So I again had to re-right my entire thread and this time put it under 'project ' since someone, I don't know who because they never bothered to tell me what was wrong with the thread to start with, did not consider it a hot rod.
And AGAIN Without saying why they deleted it once more.
I see there is one thread " 1956 ford parkland question "
Another thread " my 1940 ford truck build"
Both of these made it ok, are either more of a hot rod then a 1942 ford pickup?
So to the worm who probably lives in his mothers ba*****t and it makes him feel important to take down others threads. Congratulations you win

Let me help clean up this situation.

Your post was again deleted because your 4X4 Big Mormon Herrington does not fit the theme of the HAMB which is focused on "Traditional" Hot Rods and Custom Cars.....

This is a editorial decision only - nothing personal.
But, I will add that your comment in last sentence from above is drama and drama will get posts deleted.

If you Google Mormon -Herrington - there are a bunch of different articles on a lot of subjects as
Mormon-Herrington dipped into many different vehicles - trucks, tanks - you name it.

You might find some info here.

    Good luck.
