Did you possibly call their customer service dept.
I machined many parts requiring lock nuts, not 100% sure but seems some were left hand.
I also ran the toolroom for many years and McMaster-Carr was one of our specialty vendors that had hardware that other vendors did not stock.

I have them. RHT are $10, LHT $15. Don't blame me.

I have several used RHT but no LHTs that aren't chewed up. I think this is due to guys not knowing and beating the hell out them trying to go the wrong way.

If you find a cheaper source, please let me know.

This is a offset frankland quickchange,it was never installed it was 60 inchs wide. With info from GearheadsQCE I removed the rs axel tube heated the bell up removed it cut 2 inches off reinstalled, drilled new 3/8 holes to put the bolts back in that help hold the tube. Bought another axel and the rear is now 58 inches.I am trying to get some different bolt pattern hubs mine are 5X5 I am looking for some 5X4 3/4. Car is a blown apart right now. Rear has full floating hubs.

    SDluck,
That's cool. I was actually asking 4b316 as to what he wanted. But you did an excellent job of explaining your setup. I think you are really going to like yours when it gets on the road again.

Are you thinking of coating the center section or just the steel stuff? I'm not a big fan of painting or coating magnesium, but I don't know why.
Most of the QCs that I build leave here plain and the customer paints or coats to match.
Sorry, I can't be of more help.

What is the best stuff you have used for cleaning Mag? I talked to Rich Davis today and he said he has seen some axle snouts that were 2 5/8. You said you had some oddball ones that didn't fit anything, maybe thats what they were.

    sdluck.
I just use mag wheel cleaner and polish, Never found anything that keeps the finish shiny.

The oddball snouts I have are 2 1/2" but too short for the common hubs. You can put the bearings on but no room for the nuts.

The 2 7/8" are fairly new on the scene. I have never had the need for anything that big. I suppose a Pro-Stock or Super Speedway car might need them, but then I would think that something else would be the weak link.
