That is so cool, kinda wish I needed one.

Here is the deck lid I made for my 31 Plymouth. Came out well enough to sell another. I used a shrinker/stretcher to fit it to the new wood frame I built. Once fitted, I seam sealed it to the frame and secured it with a couple inside corner panels and a bottom plate to secure.

Wasn't too bad, did it at the college and I just had to pay the school for the printing.

I've got the number of a good casting facility, I'll be calling them soon.

I know this is a car forum. But here are few things I fabbed for a motorcycle (although it does have a car engine for power). I made a fuel tank and weed burner zoomies for it, among other things. Thanks to everyone for sharing. It's good to know there are still imaginations and talents being used in this cookie cutter world.

 

And here are some engine mounts I made for a big block Ford in a '32. I extended the mounts forward on the block to give more clearance for the headers.

Here are a few items I whittled out....

Hood sides with stainless steel screens with bead outline.
Steering arm made from solid stock
Steering wheel make from H-beam NASCAR connecting rods, rolled 1" tube

 

A very interesting and cool topic. Fabrication.. Back in the early 60,s in a small town we were already working on old cars we bought from the junk yard for 50 bucks. Then went back and bought parts and actually built a running jalopy. We could wonder around the junk yards all day and never get yelled at .Out cars were not good or safe at all but who cared. There was a a machine shop back then on every corner and foundries not like today...I always respected & marveled at the older guys who could fabricate,work a mill or lathe or whatever. They were my heros and still are to this day.
At the car shows I always zero in on the made cars from scratch, cars made in someones ( garage at home.) for those of you that have such ability to ( fabricate) you are the man !

Lot of nice work on this thread. Mine is more functional. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Bells for my injectorson the 26 Dodge motor.

 

I can't imagine building a rod without being able to fab most anything I can dream up. Only the maroon sheetmetal is from the original truck!
How about a whole sleeper?

Made a roller to form the beltline to match the cab
Being a tool maker, I built a die to stamp the logo
Hammer formed the window openings

Cheated on the top corners, bought the stampings from a trailer supply house

 

Nice work guys. Keep this thread going. Here are two intakes that I made. One for an injected Chevy 6 and the other for putting two Holley dominators on a Packard V12 aircraft engine.

 

Headers I fabbed for my stg 2 464 Buick in my 55' studebaker.

 

Electric Fan Shroud , made female and male Dies from 3/4" plywood , I used a porta-power to press the shell , cut and trimmed to fit , only one of many parts I had to Fabricate while building my " One of a kind 33 Fordor Victoria Convertible Sedan

 

might be the winner so far!!

 

And after seeing some of the talent here I must say.... ...I'm not worthy!!

1932 Plymouth Cylinder head, side cover. Injection, dual dist drive, headers, oil/injector pump mount and drive. Drive uses old cam drive pulleys from a Jensen Healy. The other side of the head was the hard part.

Fabbed up my own rear sub-rails for my A coup on 32 Rails.

 

There is a lot of outstanding workmanship shown in this thread. Yours us surely among the best. I would like to see what it is built to haul. And anymore about it you have posted.
