Hey all, just sharing the 1930 model a coupe I just picked up. Not sure what direction I want to go with it yet. The car was sitting since 2014 here in Iowa. I got it running so far but, still need to clean the carb in order to drive it. IMG_2038.JPG IMG_2041.JPG IMG_2033.JPG IMG_2047.JPG IMG_2048.JPG

Only three things need to be done to this car. 1, overhead valve conversion. 2, ditch the fenders. 3, Chop the top.

That screams out sleeper to me. Update the brakes and driveline and keep the rest stock, just imagine the fun you would have taking off from the traffic lights or cruising the interstate.

Tardell has just put out a book about building an Av8, that style would be cool, although a hopped up Banger would be a grouse thing!

It is in such good condition that I would restore it. How is the rumble seat?

I just re ordered the book. It will probably be a slow transition to the av8 and stay a banger while I gather everything needed.

The rumble seat area is nice. However, the rumble lid its self is fiberglass for now.

Sweet! ..and good weekend for A's. I also just picked up a 30 that too is in the "almost to nice to mess with category". My vision is exactly as you posted but perhaps with the tall roof. ...still undecided.

Good luck with yours - I'll be watching!

Man that's nice. I like your vision. V8, full closed hood, full fendered, stance & rubber rake. Yowza!

  30. Just in case you were curious. Did a few mods to the banger to get it to talk a little louder....;)
