Technical Any idea about those artillery wheels ?

Hello everyone, I've bought those wheels a while ago and can't ID its.
One was with a 6.00-6.25 16 tire
hub diameter is around 7-3/4 inch
wheel hole pattern is 5 x 5-1/2
the 15 holes center wheel is riveted to the rim
As I'm in France, may be it's a local aftermarket wheels

Those are 100% Chenard et Walcker wheels. Probably made by Dunlop France or Michelin France but for the Chenard & Walcker, 1936 / 1940. Renault had them as well on the Monaquatre & Vivaquatra. Yes 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern.

There is one small problem with those old French wheel sizes. That 100 x 40 is 100mm x 40cm. The 100mm width is about 4 inches , no problem but the 40cm diameter is exactly 6mm smaller than 16 inch. This means you can just about mount a 16 inch tire on those rims by hand, you have 6mm more diameter on your 16 inch tire. Result is one tire thats very loose on the rim. Other way around you will never get a French 40cm tire on a 16 inch rim, the 40cm is 6mm to small. So if you want to go for a French tire size of about 165x40 or 185x40 look into tires for Citroen Traction Avant. They are still being made. 16 inch for rolling around is no problem. If you want to go to a 16 inch wheel/rim easiest to find would be Suzuki Jimny, or an old Hotchkiss Jeep. Both are 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern.
