Great. Looks to be pretty solid. Interior's not bad. Even the chrome looks good.
Congrats. Have fun. Be careful. Sounds like you know enough to check it all out before you head on down the road. I've had Buicks. They were one of the nice big models back then, and they still are.

  6. Thanks, would have preferred a hardtop. But this showed up and the price and condition were exactly what i was looking for.
How are these things as far as parts availability? Suspension, steering, brakes tranny diff etc?

Going to bring it home today I’ll take some more pics later

Congrats!! You done good, can't go wrong with a Buick. You have a Special not a Century, it has a 264 nailhead not a 322. One thing to be careful with, when you back up come to a complete stop before putting it in drive or you will end up with a slipping like you won't believe. Don't ask me how I know! I do know taking that dynaflow out, getting it fixed and putting it back in is no fun and cost some bucks.

  10. Welp the Dyna flow is living up to its legend

Leak from the front pump area

Where do we get parts for these things

Anyone do a disc brake swap on the front?

    What about lowering?

Big deal is the trans ...... damn not horrible I could drive it but would like to seal it if I can

The trans will never not leak a little, unless you are one of the lucky ones. The more you drive it the less it will leak/seep/weep. Replacing the Dyna cascades into a massive project, and I don't think that's what you're after, so live with it. I loved my 55 ht. Yours has a nice color combo, have fun with it. It's like driving a couch. Great cars.

  16. It drives like s champ except the leak
Thinking to fix it and lower the car over the winter
Wanna drive the pants off it right now
