  1. Hey Hambers!
New to the forum and I just picked up this old gal lol. 1956 dodge sierra wagon. pretty much all there as in engine, trans, seat frames, stainless/ chrome trim. odo shows 16**x miles with a midas service sticker on the driver door showing 9,200 miles. she seems like a low mileage find. Definitely ugly (but that's what I like). From my research this car is pretty rare. what do yall educated rodders think?

She's a peach and, I suspect, you'll get to meet some new neighbors.

Tom McCahill bought one new. If you find a couple of Labrador retrievers in the glove compartment it may be his old one.

Seriously, they are a cool car and the wagons are rare. By 56 they had a decent V8 engine, 2 speed auto trans and 12V electrics (first year). It will make a great driver with no modification.

  6. Yep, going to get it fired back up. throw minimal interior in it for now and "sunday putt" it around.

  7. from what I found, I am the 3rd owner. I even ******ed up the original ***le from 1958 when the guy finally paid it off and got the lien released. he paid 845.00 for it in 1958. ill post the ***le pic when I get home tonight for people like us who dig that old stuff

Very rare car, you will never find any of the wagon only trim or other wagon only parts if any are missing. Should be very cool when shiney and finished.

Graft some 56 car fenders on the rear. I dunno why they kept the 55 body style on the 56 wagon.

I think something is amiss on the price he paid for the wagon.

    Check this out. HRP

It was already 2 years old in 58, used car prices may not have been much.
