  2. Good morning follower H.A.M.B.E.R.S. Teresa here. Bruce is really wiped out this morning so I am giving this report. Robert had a quite night till they tried to wake him early this morning. He was still trashing around so much they had to put him under again. This after noon around 4 P.M. they are going to pull the tubes out of his mouth and put the trak in his neck so he wont be gaging so much and they say it will be easier for him to breather and wake him up a lot easier. Thanks Teresa.

Bruce, I feel for you, your wife and family. These are never the phone calls anyone ever wants Ann's when it happens you never forget them. I am pulling for your wife's son as are others on this forum. One day at a time. Reading this brought back memories of my past. My then 13 year old son was in this car. he is 20 now. Many days and months of recovery. Thanks for taking the time to keep us informed as I found talking is sometimes very the****utic for your mindset. Sending well wishes from Newport. PA.[IMG][IMG]

I was hallucinating when they brought me out of my coma, but I knew I was. Anything weird I saw... I would ask my son if what I thought I saw was real.

It's amazing how cars and all the other stuff we all stress about in our day to day lives doesn't matter any more when something like this happens to someone we know.

Waiting when a loved one has a health crises is one of the most difficult things we can do.
Take comfort in knowing that we are all standing with you in spirit as you wait. We are praying for both of you for comfort and strength and Robert for the best outcome as soon as possible.
If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. Gene

Bruce, i know what you are going through. My daughter was in a very serious accident back in Oct. I don't want to hi-jack your thread, but she was in the hosp for two months, and still is in a lot of pain and has serious injuries. I am following your thread and every time i read the latest news i get emotional. Hoping for the best for the son, thinking of you, Brian

  16. Good Thursday morning you all. Late yesterday they pulled all the tubes out of Roberts mouth and inserted a trak in his neck so it will be easier for him to breath and hopefully easier to wake him up today, We will see. Thanks to you all. Bruce & Teresa.

Godspeed to all of you. We will add you all to our prayer list. May god keep you with his strength and comfort. His healing hands and powers are amazing, We have seen unexplainable things happen in our lives with our daughter that the medical community can not answer. So as we lift you all up to him, we will lay your worries and pain at his feet and ask for his comfort for you all.

    Larry and Elaine.

i don't know anything about medicine, other than what i learn from late night tv commercials, is there a rush to wake him? i would think he is better off healing in the coma.
again i really wish a speedy recovery.

  21. Tb33anda3rd the rush to wake him is to get him off the vent machine so he can breath on his own.{which he is doing but he has to be fully awake to take him off the machine}He heard his mom talking to him to day and put his hand on her shoulder, and cracked his eyes open for a real shot time then fell back asleep. Time will tell. Thanks to you all for your support. Bruce & Teresa.

Good news Bruce, You have to keep the faith son. One day soon this ordeal will be over, you and Robert and his mom will setting around the kitchen table sharing a meal, and someone will say something about this terrible time and you all will have a good laugh about something silly that happened.

Robert isn't in all probability is not going to remember much of any of this, that's going to be a cool thing. You then get to make up story's about the good and the bad. As hard as it is to think about that now there will be some good story's that come out of this. Hold onto that day, it's coming...

I was on the Michael Jackson anesthesia and kept in my coma for 4 days. But on that, you don't really sleep. This is what did MJ in, he was 59 days straight on Propofol. So doctors wanted me off it as soon as I was healed enough to breathe on my own, same as Robert. It sounds like he's making good progress.
