    Hey everyone

Does anyone have experience with hydraulic throwout bearings on a Camaro 26 spline T5 box? I feel having an external slave might be more user friendly as a general rule, but I have hardly any space to run an external clutch fork (damn headers are in the way). I was looking at using this but I'm not sure it will work on anything other than 14 spline:

Before I pull things apart and go down that rabbit hole, I wanted to see if anyone had any experience or suggestions? They look like way more h***le and maybe harder to maintain, but I don't know that. Just a hunch. I've looked at pull type and push type slaves and they all have the same clearance issues for me.

    Thanks in advance!! Howe's T5 throwout bearing.jpg

    A couple of thoughts.
Sometimes people put the cart in front of the horse when it comes to steering, pedals and clutch forks. Generally that means they buy off the shelf headers and everything has to work around them. I tend to prioritize steering pedals etc. and make the headers work with them. Of course it is always a dance.

Having said that I have worked with McLeod throwouts and they seem to work well and don't have all those shims for adjustment (that seem to cause people head aches.)

As Montana1 says, a search will turn up a lot on this topic, as recently as last week if I recall correctly.

Personally, I'd use a traditional external slave and fork if I could.

Yes I did put the horse in front of the cart here. An error on my part. I have seen those bellhousing mounts that Novak make but they also get right in the way of things. My gut tells me that the internal hydraulic will cause more pain in the long run. Maybe I should just cut up my headers and make em point somewhere else.

You could also consider a cable. You'll still need a fork though.
