Customs 41/47 chevy coupe info

I'm GOING! to start on my 41 delux coupe soon! have a chance to get a 47 coupe for parts . looks like the bodies are the same , except for frnt end . anyone know if the bodies are the same . what does/dosent interchange?? thnx

I must be missing something, I thought the bodies were the same with minor changes to the firewall and cowl sides?

that's all I could see . looks like rear quarters/fenders ,and doors may swap . same wheel base??

 

...side cowl area is different, hoods on 46-8's go back to front edge of door, 41's don't...everything from the windshield back is the same.

 

here is the official reply,

41 chevy has it own one year front clip, front outer cowl section and front door, 1942-48 coupe sedan body are the same other wise, except for aeroback body which has its own doors, rear 1/4, truck lid, but shares front clip with all other 42-48, floorpans the same from 41-48. mixing up body parts due to year and body is quite a common problem
