I've seen a few 36 Fords with 37 headlights. I like the look but would hate to screw up four fenders to install them in my 35 Cabrilolet. Thoughts? Sent from my XT1254 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I do too, but do you have a grill shot of your car? It strikes me that a '35 grill is a bit wider than the '36 - '37 grill - do you have enough real estate left in the fenders on either side of your '35 grill? Sent from my Pixel XL using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
These a rent my car but should give an idea. I do think you're right that there isn't as much but I think enough. Sent from my XT1254 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
It looks like there is more than enough room there (the fenders are bigger than I thought [emoji2] ). But with that deep valley immediately on either side of your grill, I'm guessing it'll take alot of sheet metal work, or graft a set of '37 fenders onto your car. If the cost doesn't bother you, I say go for it! Maybe you could get Moose to Photoshop the idea for you, using your pics, to see exactly how it would look? Personally, I don't feel those style headlights look right on a 35-36. I originally was going to fit 40 Chevy lights on my 36 but went original, chickened out I guess. The 40 Chevys would look better AND you would gain sealed beams so you could see better, always a plus. Just my opinion though, Mitch.
They don’t look good on my 35. Don’t do it. You won’t love and neither will anyone else. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Do you have pics of your '35? Not that I don't believe you, I was just curious to see what it looks like. Sent from my Pixel XL using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I actually love this look. '35's and 6's aren't my favorite BECAUSE of the front ends but adapting the '37 molded headlights in give it a more finished appearance (to me at least).
Its was done back in the day...I've seen it...personal choice...Junkyards Coupe looks awesome wouldn't change a thing but again your choice and a big choice.
Agreed...I thought Junkyards coupe looked familiar...it certainly has some history behind it...he has a gem https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/got-a-new-ride-today.516718/
