Although it was a soggy wet ass mess saturday, sunday turned out to be really cool. You know it takes a different kind of person altogether to put on an event like this, but it takes a person like mickey to stand there in the pouring rain with a big ole smile on his face ALL DAY LONG. My hats off to mickey for the creation and the continuation of this, the coolest event this part of the country. Congratulations. I can't wait for next year already! So here is a few photos I took sunday. I hope the link works. Enjoy. http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/Whitey52/2006%20Stray%20Kat%20500/
...it figgers...I show up on Saturday with the coupe, and it's pourin'...the die-hards show up, and it's rainin' too hard to take pics... I can't bring the coupe on Sunday, it ain't rainin', and everyone shows up with a camera...honest guys,...the coupe was there!
Very cool pics... a couple of cars with interesting front end treatments like the green olds w/ buick grill, and the purple hardtop w/pontiac split bumper...
Thanx for the pics Whitey. And Thank You Mick for another bitchin show! I'm already pre-regged for next year and have my room reserved a year ahead of time...I'm even impressing myself! Something about Phil and Bulletproof in tiara head bands is just WRONG! Too bad we don't have pics of that. Reverend Jake
Thank You for the kind words and being there fighting the rain with us. I had a blast this year. When I go to a show, If it is raining out side I'll check the radar and as long as it is not severe I'm on the road. I had a local stop by and was complaing that he couldn't get his car out because of the rain. I stopped him told him about Voodoo Jim, Sodbuster, Them Tulsa guys, The Dirtys, Guy from Nebraska and all of the others that drove to the event. After telling him about these guys he started filling a little bit guilty. Happy Trails, Mick
Thank You Larry for going through all of the trouble to bring your '32 to the show. When guys were talking about their favorite rods at the SK 500 this year, yours was always top on the list. My friend took 400 plus pictures all weekend so I'll post some pics when I get them developed. Your too nice of a guy to own a Hot rod that "Bad." Thanks again... Happy Trails, Mick
Hey Jake, Thank ya for coming down to Dewey again this year. I'm sure blessed to have Them Tulsa guys as friends. Happy Trails, Mick
hey, mick, thanx for a great weekend. the sk-500 in the rain is a better show than most others are in perfect weather. the weston has my reservation for next year. can't wait...
Thanks for posting the pic's Whitey. That's my favorite thing about the HAMB, ckecking out event pic's after the weekend.

Letting me wear out a few sharpies- and best of all- Give out my own trophy! I thought that it would be easy to pick a car- BULLSHIT, that was some acually work! HAHAHA!! To many kool shit to pick just one! And the rain- no biggie still had fun! Im not sweet enough to melt!
Which one? This was the "Hawiian" burnout. Sorry no pix of what was on top of his head. Also, here is a shot of the best wife ever and the downpour.
I had to post here so that the best wife ever (a real hotrod girl now) picture would rise to the top of the page again [/quote] Here are my favorites from the show (Atch took em). Missy D (wife and secretary)
Hey Vern, I got some pics of El Taco at home on the PC Ill send ya some, if you don't like what I got I would be glad to come out to the house and take a few!
Dude that would be freakin sweet! There is still a ton of stuff to do, Mounting the motor, rearend swap, running brake lines, etc.
That sounds good to me we need to thrash on Revs car also( how the hell do I change my color of my font?)
