sorry, this is the only picture that really came out, and i finally taught myself how to add it to post. hey, i've only been on here for a year-and-a-half this is a shot of a friend's 63 chevy pickup, mixed with a couple different of chrysler's, including a blown hemi. maybe it'll be running this summer, and i might even get some more pictures! mf
[ QUOTE ] I've seen that Chrysler-evvvy in a mag some where. Pretty cool truck!!! [/ QUOTE ] Rod and Custom ReadersRides section... I'm not digging it.
I think this thing is pretty kick*** actually. I've seen it with the chrysler front end and finned rear in a mag a while back and thought it was fairly clever and the body work looked good on it. It's a graft I couldn't have done. Anything with that much motor that actually gets driven is cool by me.
That motor rocks! not diggin the color though, gold or root beer would be nice.or use them both together.
well, i tried to get him to move the truck out some more so we could take some more pictures, but it was getting late. the reason there wasn't much progress on it last year is because bill and his guys spent the summer restifying a pontiac convertible, which he raffled off, proceeds donated to ME! paid for a wheelchair, a stairlift and made a big dent in my medical bills. it's nice to have friends! the car/truck is being pulled back out and should be going this summer, and i'll definitely get some more pictures as it comes along. it's over the top, impractical, uncomfortable and the paint will be obnoxious. probably start a few fights itself
Nice uh... Chevler. My friend and I had this pipe dream of combining some of the early sixties Chevy truck parts we had and cobbling together something along those lines [never would have thought of the Chrysler front end, but we did plan to have the motor sitting way up in the air like that], but then I saw the pic of that in R&C and realized that not only had someone beat us to the idea, but they'd done it far better than we ever could have. Very nice job blending the front end into the Chevy fenders.
I like the front end treatment but the engine is over the top and not fitting for a custom. It will get attention, but I wonder if a more restrained motor would allow it to get more respect (for the work done to it) rather then gawkers. My opinion only probably Crazy motors do not belong in Customs. its why they keep the hood shut, so everyone can enjoy the flow of the body.. I think the motor (which is cool) would be better suited for a Muscle car or a over the top Streetrod
believe me, i told him the same thing, the car's wild enough without the skys****er in the engine compartment, but some people just won't listen! maybe when it's runnin', we can have a cage match with the 'fight starter' model A, that should get all kinds of hate flowing.
[ QUOTE ] I Crazy motors do not belong in Customs. its why they keep the hood shut, [/ QUOTE ] If everybody did the same things are sport would get a little boring Bill is a hell of a Craftsman and has some Ideas that is out of this world but that is what makes his stuff stand out. Im sure it will be pretty cool when it is done.
I FRIGGIN LOVE IT!!!!!! .......... its like a full size toy ........... (and isnt that what they're supposed to be?)

[ QUOTE ] Thats a "58" Lincoln Continental bumper up front isnt it? [/ QUOTE ] Nope...that's the Chrysler bumper...may look like a Continental, but it's not! R-
tngrodder, I am not against doing things different (but being different is not always good). Hell my wagon was different from the main stream when I put it on the road) If the motor was lowered a foot it may be fine (would have to see). I tend to like more subtle rides over wild and let the body and style do the taking Its the same thing as this car, motor is to high and takes away from what is a nice car. (again my opinion.
maybe when it's runnin', we can have a cage match with the 'fight starter' model A, that should get all kinds of hate flowing. [/ QUOTE ] Put the sky s****er induction on the 'infamous' A and have the truck tow it to the HAMB DRAG's.
I think this car was posted on the HAMB aobut a year ago. If I recall the feedback was either very positive or very negative. No middle ground.
it was one of the more entertaining threads of recent memory...got locked up a couple of time too. that thing is ****** obscene!
Did he check what the price of gas was before he built it? I do like it thou, but I really like wild 60's show cars.......to look at.
